Join NMA instructor Iliya Mirochnik for a 7-week Live Class focused on animal studies in drawing and painting. Throughout the series, Iliya will show how to construct convincing animal forms from reference and enhance them using value, edges, and rendering techniques. Brief anatomical notes will be provided when relevant, but the primary focus is on a clear, repeatable rendering workflow applicable to animals and beyond.

Week 1: Horse structure and quick anatomical sketching
Week 2: Cow studies and cross-species comparison
Week 3: Animals in motion through short-form painting
Week 4: Long-form dog painting and fur simplification
Week 5: Bird study in transparent media
Week 6: Primate head painting and surface variation
Week 7: Final animal portrait from a student-selected subject
