    Beginner's Guide to Drawing, presented by Catherine Bobkoski, is a 12-week Live Class designed to empower new students with a structured approach for learning how to draw.

    Join instructors Steve Huston, Chris Legaspi, Heather Lenefsky, Bill Perkins, and Mark Westermoe as you learn the fundamentals of perspective, rendering, and composition. After completing this course, you will develop a solid foundation in drawing.

  • Format
    Each week, you will be asked to watch the video instruction from the pre-recorded course "Beginner's Guide to Drawing", complete the week's assignments, and turn them in 24-hours before class. Then, during Live Class, Catherine will answer your questions and critique as many assignments as time allows.

Meet Your Instructor

Catherine Bobkoski is a Los Angeles-based painter who works in a still life and figurative manner. She has studied both drawing and painting at The Watts Atelier in Encinitas. California and later at Grand Central Academy and New York University in New York City. She has also studied with many inspiring artists along the way, including Daniel Keys, Dustin Van Wechel, and Vadim Zang. She is a sought after painting instructor with over ten years of experience and teaches at many art schools throughout Southern California. Catherine has had work exhibited nationally, including at the Oil Painters of America 2021 National Juried Exhibition.
